Ep. 2: The Reporter

When Hansel Batten’s body was discovered on Hattiesburg railroad tracks, people all over Mississippi were shocked. Hansel had been a star football player—at Hattiesburg High and the University of Mississippi—and then worked as a Hattiesburg American reporter. He had also played a key role in Gov. Mike Conner’s recent campaign for Mississippi governor. An investigation of his death would soon reveal more questions than answers.
